DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Oct. 8, 2013) - The NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour returns to compete on the quarter-mile oval at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Thursday, Oct. 10. Below is a statistical look at the recent performance of the tour and selected drivers at Charlotte, as well as some other statistical trends:

Charlotte Race Setup
° George Brunnhoelzl III brings a 32-point lead in the championship standings to the season finale at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Based on a 26-car field, Brunnhoelzl can clinch the championship by just taking the green flag on Thursday night to extend his tour record for titles to four.

° While Brunnhoelzl has a substantial lead in points, there’s a tight battle for other spots in the top five of the standings. Kyle Ebersole is in second with only a one-point advantage over Andy Seuss. Burt Myers is fourth, 15 points back of Ebersole.
