La Ferté Gaucher - November 27-28 test session
BLOIS, France - The curtain just fell on the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season but it's already time to work on 2014. A test for new drivers is scheduled for November 27-28 on the La Ferté Gaucher circuit, near Paris.
This track, located just 50 km away from the Parisian airports, it's the ideal playing field to allow drivers, coming from all around the world, to discover the European NASCAR cars.
"With more than 400 horsepower on 1200 Kilos and without any electronic driving help, our NASCAR cars are different from the cars European drivers and teams are used to. Therefore is very important that they come to test them," underlines Jerome Galpin, NASCAR Whelen Euro Series General Manager. "It will allow them to feel how fun is to drive the cars and how easy is to approach them. In the last 5 years the car was driven by great champions such as Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel, but also by absolutes beginners, and everybody had the same smile in the end."
The young drivers being part of the NWES Drivers Program - Road to the USA, will take advantage of this test session organized by Team FJ to perfect their learning of the discipline.
We recall that in August Thomas Ferrando and Ulysse Delsaux, respectively 16 and 15 years old, as part of this training, took part in an race on the legendary Bowman Gray oval track, in North Carolina. These two days will work as an additional preparation for their next debut in NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.
