Brazilian TV Channel Record News To Sponsor William Ayer Jr. And Gabriela Prado
Daytona Beach, FL - April 19th, 2015 - One of the many news of the 2015 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season comes from Brasil: the Record News Racing team will debut in Valencia with all green & gold lineup: the #21 Chevrolet SS will be driven by the expert William Ayer Jr in the ELITE 1 Division and the rookie Gabriela Prado in the ELITE 2 Division.
The team will be supported by Record News, an important Brazilian TV channel, part of the Rede Record network. The group will also broadcast the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series TV magazine in Brazil. With a 24-hour free-to-air broadcasting, Record News is a leader in the country thanks to 150 journalists and 100 professionals from other sectors operating every day in the 1000m2 offices of the channel’s offices.
William Ayer Jr. took part in selected NWES races in the last two years and is ready to battle on track: "My expectations for this season are high, especially thanks to the support we are receiving from an important network like Record News. We are well prepared for this debut and I’m convinced we can do well from the start," said the Brazilian, who won the Paulista Stock Car title in 2011 and was Hot Car vice-champion in 2013.
In ELITE 2, 32-year-old Gabriela Prado will debut in the European NASCAR Series in second edition of the Valencia American Fest. "I really look forward to this news challenge. I’m motivated and I want to do my best all season long. The amazing support from record News gives me a big responsibility, but at the same time it gives me the honor of being the only Brazilian female-driver to race at an international level. I will do my best and use all my courage because I want to honour my country. I want to thank all the fans for the support and they are showing me." Gabriela will also race for the Lady Cup, which promises to be really interesting this year, with many female drivers wishing to win a race in NASCAR in the US.
The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season will start on April 25-26 in Spain with four races in Valencia. The Series will then go to the Netherlands for the first oval races of 2015 at Raceway Venray, going then to Brands Hatch, Tours Speedway, Magione and Zolder.
