RDV Compétition Launches Title Attack

All French Line-Up With Frederic Gabillon, Ulysse Delsaux, Hugo Bec, Didier Bec



Daytona Beach, FL - April 8th, 2015 - Important additions will highlight the 2015 lineup for RDV Compétition: the Chartre-based team will launch itself in the title’s hunt with the arrival of 2014 title contender Frederic Gabillon, who will join young talent Ulysse Delsaux and the family duo formed by Hugo Bec and Didier Bec.



Team manager Franck Violas is decided to make a further step towards the front of the field and to develop his team to become a true power house, Therefore he also hired Gabillon’s long-time crew chief Claude Galopin.



"It is a big opportunity for us to welcome a top driver like Frederic in our team. We have a great mix of talent and experience. We are very motivated and the goal is clear for us: work hard, push hard and win the title," explained Violas. "We are also happy to have among us an engineer I think is one of the best in France. The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series today is one of the most important Championship in Europe and I am really proud to be a part of it since 2010 and to have evolved our team with it".



After coming close to the Championship in 2013 and 2014, Gabillon - who holds 5 wins, 4 poles and 19 top-10s in 24 appearances in EuroNASCAR - is eager to be in the title hunt once again. "Franck Violas and the team did an amazing job. We will be ready for the first race in Valencia. I hope to have a better luck than last year, but if we work all together, this season could be really good for both RDV and me," he said.



The Frenchman will share the #3 Ford Mustang with 17-year-old NWES Driver Development Program member Ulysse Delsaux, who will race is second full-time season in the Series and is working hard to improve at all levels.



"I want to be among the best and I’m committed to become a professional driver, so I’m trying to improve in every aspect. I’m working out every day with more intensity and I’m also seeing a mental coach to improve my concentration and my efficiency at the wheel," said Delsaux, who reached the top-5 for the first time last year. "I think I can learn a lot from Frederic and I can’t wait to be in Valencia"



The #8 Ford Mustang will be driven by Hugo Bec and Didier Bec. Father and son are in their third season with RDV Compétition in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series and have different ambitions for 2015.



"My main goal is to have fun racing and enjoy the great tracks we are going to discover this year, like Venray and Zolder. Then if I will have the occasion to get good results, I will definitely take it and try to gain one more place in the Legend Trophy and win it, but enjoying racing is definitely the priority," said Didier Bec, who finished second in the 2014 Legend Trophy. "We are more than a team, we are a group of friends and we are very happy to welcome a great driver like Frederic Gabillon. I really look forward to the start of the season".



The first event of the 2015 season will take place in Valencia, at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, on April 25-26, with the second edition of the Valencia American Fest and RDV Compétition is ready to take the next step.
