Vilarino racing for third title, Iannetta added to the lineup

Daytona Beach, FL - April 24th, 2015 - For the first time since 2012, the TFT team will begin the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season without a title to defend, but the French equipe, leaded by Team Owner Tony Pereira, is ready to take the challenge and fight for each point with a reinforced lineup.

2012 and 2013 EuroNASCAR Champion Ander Vilarino wants his crown back and will share the #2 Chevrolet SS with 2014 Legend Trophy winner Leonard Vernet, while the latest addition to the team is Romain Iannetta, who will drive the #7 Chevrolet SS in the ELITE 1 division.

After scoring four wins and losing the title by a single point in 2014, Vilarino enters the season with intact motivations and and in top form. The Spaniard will be supported by a mix of confirmed and new sponsors: Banco Santander, El Diario Vasco, Kaos Entertainment, Rollei Actioncam, MINI Lurauto, Avon Tires, Goka, Oval Zone, Gipuzkoa y and Hotel Barceló Valencia.

"I am very motivated. I worked even harder to be in my best shape and even if didn’t test a lot during the winter, the latest session confirmed we have a strong pace," said Vilarino, who is the all-time NWES leader in wins with 17 in 36 races and can also count on 26 podiums and 20 fastest laps. "I hope we can follow our plan and get the results we expect and I completely trust my #2 TFT Banco Santander team, who always gave a fantastic car. I will do my best to bring the team and the partners the results they deserve."

Vilarino will start the season in Valencia this weekend as the only driver on the grid with a win on the Spanish track in his resume, having won three of the four ELITE 1 races held at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series history.

Romain Iannetta joined TFT during the winter and has solid title ambitions. "I will have a very strong team behind me and we will go for the Championship. TFT Racing has a lot of experience with Ander Vilarino and having him as team mate is a good thing for me and adds to my motivation. I’m excited about the new race at Raceway Venray and I love the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo because I already won there in the past," said the Frenchman, who scored 1 win, 13 top-5s and 18 top-10s in his 30 NWES starts and will be supported by Eure Film Adhesifs and Motors TV.

In the ELITE 2 division, 2014 Legend Trophy winner Leonard Vernet will share the #2 Chevrolet SS with Vilarino and is ready to defend the title, improve his score of score of 1 top-5 and 5 top-10s, and bring important points to TFT for the Teams Championship.

"Working with Ander and the team helped me lot to improve my lap times and get ready for the season. The car’s balance is very nice and with Vilarino we look for the same feeling in the car. I think I will be in the best condition I’ve ever been to get good results. I will definitely go again for the Legend Trophy, but my goal is also to improve at least a couple of positions in the ELITE 2 Division standings," said the Swiss driver.

The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series 2015 season will open this weekend with fours races in the contest of the Valencia American Fest, a widely-popular event that in 2014 attracted over 14.000 fans and promises to be bigger and better this year.
