Core-S is a true, one-box solution engineered for performance, designed for vast configuration, and built to scale with your needs. Its all-new space-saving design allows for installation in tight spaces like in a console or under a dash. And installation has never been easier with connector placement specifically designed for installation in hard-to-reach areas. Core-S features siren, input/output, and control functionality in one compact box along with an integrated control head.

HARDWARE SUPPORT
Core-S™ supports multiple WeCanX® devices. Connect Tracer™, Arges®, lightbars, sirens, Howler™*, and Inner Edge® products. With Core-S, you can support multiple Whelen peripherals of the same type on the same vehicle.
Core-S operates on 12 or 24 VDC power
*External amplifier required

DYNAMIC VARIABLE INTENSITY™ LIGHT PATTERNS
Core-S allows for Dynamic Variable Intensity (DVI™) patterns, an innovative series of flash patterns designed to help create an advanced level of safety at nighttime emergency scenes. Building on Whelen’s situation-based nighttime mode, DVI patterns produce safer environments for first responders by gradually increasing and decreasing warning light intensity. DVI patterns help better convey visual information to approaching motorists, clearly indicating when an emergency vehicle is parked and improving their ability to navigate around an emergency scene safely.

HIGH-SPEED CONNECTIONS
Core-S has extremely high-performance I/O and features one ethernet connection, one WeCanX connection, a CANport™ interface, and one USB-C
port. With a variety of interfaces, Core-S is primed for a wide range of configurations.

UPDATED CONTROL HEAD CONFIGURATIONS
Ergonomically designed for situational awareness, the Core-S control heads are completely configurable. Control heads are based on industry leading WeCanX control heads and support flashing indicator LEDs.

DIGITAL VOICE MESSAGING (DVM)
Core-S can store and play pre-recorded digital voice messages (DVMs) with a simple touch of a button, located on the control head. DVMs can be downloaded and added to configurations via the Manage Digital Voice Messages window in Whelen Command®.
