Legacy WC and Mini Bar I/O Board

BACKGROUND:

As Whelen works to continually improve its products and process flow of materials, an engineering design change was made to the Legacy WeCan Lightbar Input/Output (I/O) board. This change also impacts the mini Legacy lightbars

ISSUE:

Customers who need to order a replacement I/O board for the WeCan Legacy SOLO, DUO, or TRIO lightbars will need to identify which revision of the I/O board they currently have. In early 2020 a new I/O board was put into production. This I/O board is physically smaller and has a different wiring harness and I/O connections.

Customers who simply check a current WeCan Legacy or Mini Legacy bill of materials (BOM) and order a replacement I/O board off that BOM may receive the incorrect I/O board for that revision.

SOLUTION:

When a replacement I/O board is required please consult with the Technical Support Group (TSG), or verify the I/O part number contained within the lightbar.
