Honoring Service and Sacrifice

Driver Jesse Love will debut a commemorative paint scheme on the Whelen No. 2 Camaro at Sonoma Raceway.

When Jesse Love hits the track in the No. 2 Whelen Chevrolet Camaro this weekend at Sonoma Raceway, he’ll be carrying more than just the hopes of winning - he’ll be carrying the legacy of 345 law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

In partnership with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) and Richard Childress Racing (RCR), we’re proud to unveil a meaningful paint scheme that displays the names of officers whose lives were lost in the line of duty. Of the 345 names displayed on the car, 147 represent those who died in 2024, and 198 lost their lives in previous years, all recently added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The No. 2 Whelen Camaro featured a powerful NLEOMF paint scheme at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2024. This weekend’s race at Sonoma marks the fourth consecutive year of honoring fallen law enforcement officers in partnership with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

The names of the fallen officers were read aloud during the Candlelight Vigil this year. The event is held each May as part of National Police Week. The vigil, known as the Roll Call of Heroes, is an emotional tribute to the officers who have fallen while serving their communities. It is one of many events hosted by NLEOMF to recognize and honor the law enforcement community.

Every day in our communities, Whelen is trusted to protect first responders. It’s truly an honor to represent a company that supports and lifts up our local heroes. This is the second time I’ve been able to run a special scheme highlighting the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and it means a lot to me personally. I hope we can remind the families of the 345 fallen officers that their loved ones are not forgotten. It would be pretty cool to take them to Victory Lane on Saturday.

Whelen’s Ongoing Commitment to Law Enforcement

At Whelen, protecting first responders is at the core of everything we do. For decades, our warning lights, sirens, and control systems have helped keep officers visible and safe in the line of duty. But our commitment goes beyond equipment - it’s personal.

“Supporting first responders and their missions is an important part of our culture at Whelen,” said Eric Maurice, Director of Law Enforcement Sales. “We’re proud to partner with NLEOMF to honor the officers who gave their lives in the line of duty, and we hope this commemorative paint scheme helps bring greater awareness to their sacrifice and legacy.”

Every Sale Supports a Hero

In conjunction with this special paint scheme, we’re proud to launch a new giving initiative:
$1 from every qualifying sale of our law enforcement products will be donated to NLEOMF.
This ongoing contribution supports NLEOMF’s vital work in honoring fallen officers, preserving their stories, and making law enforcement safer nationwide.

More Than a Race

The NASCAR Xfinity Series race begins at 4:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, CA, and will air live on The CW. But the significance of this weekend goes far beyond the checkered flag - it’s a tribute to courage, a reminder of sacrifice, and a celebration of those who run toward danger to keep others safe.
This weekend, as the engines roar and the cars speed through Sonoma, we remember the names on that car and what they represent.

Every name tells a story. Every sale supports a hero.
Thank you to the law enforcement officers who serve and protect.
