New Option Available for Responder-to-Responder and Digital Alerts on the Whelen Cloud Platform®
Whelen Cloud Platform® now offers users the ability to disable Digital Alerts (public alerts) while still providing the safety benefits of Responder-to-Responder (R2R) alerts. Digital Alerts can be turned on and off by the officer in the vehicle depending on user needs and preferences. This option is enabled through WCP® or a programmable input with Command® and the Vehicle Safety Gateway® (VSG®). Disabling digital alerts is a useful option for vehicles that are undercover, on patrol, or in other situations where alerting the public is unnecessary, while still providing the safety of R2R alerts for collision prevention.
Revolutionizing Road Safety with WCP
R2R and Digital Alerts work through Safety Cloud® by HAAS Alert, a cloud-based connected safety platform that enables the sharing of critical information between vehicles, infrastructure, and emergency services. Whelen’s Vehicle Safety Gateway and WCP enhance emergency response times and improve the safety of first responders and the motoring public. WCP customers can program how they’d like to alert the driver when an R2R signal is received through their Core™ control system. And now WCP users can choose when and if they want to send Digital Alerts to the public.
The Whelen Cloud Platform is the best way to keep your fleet up-to-date, manage vehicle configurations and more, creating faster response times and enhancing the safety of first responders.
