Whelen Engineering Showcases Several New Products at FDIC 2021

Indianapolis, IN, August 5, 2021 – Whelen Engineering is showcasing several new products this week at FDIC in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Whelen’s newest innovations are redefining first responder safety with the most advanced technology and customization options. As the market leader, Whelen continues to provide quality, American-made products.
CenCom Core® and Core-R® powered by WeCanX®: CenCom Core is a completely redesigned, breakthrough control system, which is powered by WeCanX®, the smartest and most powerful CAN-based communication system in the industry today. CenCom Core is a system created to enhance first responder safety with advanced automation and remote connectivity. Core-R is all new and specifically designed to meet the needs for a fire and EMS apparatus.

V2V Sync: V2V Sync, made possible with Whelen’s Core control systems, allows users to automatically synchronize lights and tones on vehicles within any proximity to aid approaching motorists.

High Current Remote Expansion Module: The High Current Remote Expansion Module brings intelligent control, previously only available for sirens and warning lights, to scene lighting -- an integral component of the fire and EMS apparatus. Offering lighting that is easier on the eyes and focuses the light where it needs to go, at the right intensities to promote safety, functionality, and compliance.

WCX® Control Point: The Core Control Point serves as the main controller of a Whelen WeCanX® lightbar or Arges® when a Core control system is not being utilized. When using Whelen Command®, this module can be configured via the USB-C port to program lighting functions.

DVI™ Enabled Products: Dynamic Variable Intensity™ flash patterns gradually increase and decrease warning light intensity, better conveying visual information to approaching motorists at night. These patterns clearly indicate when an emergency vehicle is parked, improving their ability to navigate around an emergency scene safely.
