Core-R® DOT is designed to support safety and operational efficiency for Department of Transportation (DOT) fleets through flexible configuration and dependable system control. Now available with enhanced safety and control features from Core+, included at no additional cost and with no subscription required.
Powered by WeCanX®, Whelen’s CAN-based communication system, Core-R DOT enables coordinated communication across connected devices to support synchronized system operation and reliable diagnostics. This architecture allows DOT fleets to integrate a wide range of WeCanX-enabled lightbars and peripherals while maintaining fast system response and configuration flexibility.
Built to enhance both operator and motorist safety, Core-R DOT features automatic brake / tail / turn override, temporarily reducing warning light output near brake lights and turn signals to improve vehicle visibility during stops and turns. Its modular design supports efficient installation in tight spaces, while the durable junction box housing helps protect critical components from harsh roadside and weather conditions.
